IM Registration Keys Expired

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I got error Registration Keys expired while trying to migrate the Bank Recon from old GP installation.  Found out from Victoria's post that MSFT only license the Integration Manager for 120 days. Only 120 days?  Even we still pay for annual renewal?  I wonder when does 120-days start?  When one upgrade to a newer version, 10 to 2010, for instance?  Another 120 days if one go from 2010 to 2011?

Hope MSFT will change its policy and allow us to use the IM for the lifetime of GP subscription.

Thanks advance for any clarification.

Actually, the way the GP registration keys are generated now has changed.  Now when the keys are generated, it will regenerate the IM registration keys for the new version.  So you will get IM for 240 days after you purchase the next version.  Just enter a request for your registration keys and when your IM ones expire.  We have a date field that shows when they will expire that we can read.

    Thanks,

    Hi Victoria,

I agree with ThongD... Tools like Integration Manager should be part of the base product Dynamics GP... Our company got the conversion version when they installed initially GP 8, but now that we're at 10 and going forward to 2010, we have a situation where we have to import data from another accounting system (one time process) for a company that just joigned our company.

I feel a little frustrated to pay 4k$ for the IM module just to do a one time data creation in GP... Will try to convice our MBS partner to provide us with a trial key good for 120 days maybe...

There are 2 ways to get Integration Manager:

    1. A "conversions" license is included with your original purchase of GP at no additional price - this is now available for 240 days from the purchase of GP.  Older GP purchases had a shorter license, but as of GP 2010 (maybe even previously), it's 240 days from original GP purchase.  This does not renew - if you originally bought GP 9.0 and just now upgraded to GP 2010, you do not get a new conversions license for IM.

    2. Full version - this is an additional purchase (like a separate GP module) and can be made at any time.  You may already own this, check with your GP partner or on CustomerSource.  Maybe you just don't have the right registration keys entered.  If you do not own it and need it, you can purchase it at any time.

Annual Maintenance renewal only includes products/modules you own.  If you do not own IM, you have not been paying annual maintenance on it.

Hope this helps clear up any confusion.
