Buffer size error while opening vendor form

Hi Experts,

I am using AX 2012 R3 CU 10. I get below error message frequently while opening vendor form.

"The total, internal size of the records in your joined SELECT statement is 53794 bytes, but Microsoft Dynamics is by default performance-tuned not to exceed 49152 bytes." when we open the Vendor Form.

Every time I have to clear usage data and cache; which is really annoying.

I tried deselecting check boxes (Keep update objects 5.0, 6.0, 6.2 and 6.3) in License configuration form; but, no luck.

Is there any other approach to overcome this scenario? or

Is it okay to increase the buffer size? If we increase the buffer size will there be any performance issue?

    You probably have a lot of joined datasources, or query filters applied.

    The maximum buffer size can be increased in the AX AOS Server Configuration Utility, but it can have a negative performance impact. We are running it with 120kb at the moment and AX is stable. Only increase it to be slightly bit over your maximum expected buffer length to be on the safe side.

    Hi Sridhar Narayanan,

    Do you have any customizations on this form , maybe you added new datasource there ? Its ok to increase buffer size it has minimum performance impact, however, its better to review existing customization and remove extra datasource if possible.

    Hi Experts,

    May I know the maximum buffer size Microsoft recommends?

    In our case, we are planning to increase the buffer size to 60 KB (presently its is 49 KB).

    Hi Sridhar Narayanan,

    I have not seen any particular value recommended, generally it should be big enough to fit a query result, so if AX says that it needs 54 KB make it 54 KB. If you read this technet article technet.microsoft.com/.../aa569634.aspx you would find that sometimes it's recommended to increase buffer size if you have a lot of heavy queries to increase performance, so play with it to find your own value.
