Safe Pay Transaction Upload failed and batch is not visible for reload - is there a way to recover?

User lost Citrix connection uploading PM Check transactions from previous week.  Now the last transaction set visible is the one from the prior week, and they cannot see the latest upload.  File for bank wasn't generated, etc.   They can still see transactions in other reports, etc. but not under Safe Pay.  Is this batch just gone because of the lost Citrix connection?  If we try Load/Reload, there are no transactions available.

    Safe Pay reload:

Now you can go into SafePay:  History Transactions:  Highlight the transactions and bring them up.  Then go to Upload and you can reload the transactions again.  Now this would only be if you had an issue and your file had not uploaded previously.

I went ahead and deleted all the records from ME123504 for this particular upload and this solved the problem.

I did this in a test environment first and verified that the upload file was created successfully, I then replicated the same in production.

Hope this helps anyone out there.

    Thanks,

    Angel

    Hello Melissa,

I'm having exactly the same issue and I'm wondering if you were able to fix it.

I see records on ME123504 (Detail) but not corresponding record on ME123503 (Header).

    Thanks,

    Angel

    Harry Lee,

Thank you for your input here.  I will notify our internal team and let them determine the priority of escalating to Technical Support accordingly.

    Melissa,

Susan is dispensing sound advice, and it seems like you may have identified the problem; no corresponding header record for the detail. Fixing this kind of issue is best done with the assistance of Technical Support, who can help you identify the best option, given your particular circumstances.

Whatever you decide, I would strongly recommend creating a test company from a recent back up of your Live Database, so you can walk through any potential fix prior to performing it in your production environment.

    Susan,

I looked at both tables, and I can see data for 3/13/15 in the detail set, but nothing in the header for that date.  Is that unusual or does that make sense since the user lost their network connection in the middle of the process?

    Susan,

Thank you very much for your reply.  I will do a bit of research to see if I can locate any documentation referencing these tables and the related issue on the off chance that I might find something to share here as well for future reference.

    This is very helpful!

RE: Safe Pay Transaction Upload failed and batch is not visible for reload - is there a way to recover?

I recall running into this issue 5-6 years ago with a client.  I know that we had to go into the table that housed the Safe Pay Information and basically change the data so that it didn't think it had been uploaded already so that we could upload it again.  I remember I had to go to GP support to get that information.  And I remember saving it as one of my "hold onto this for the future".  I looked today and can't find that TK.  So, either you have to go to Support or look at the ME123503 (Header) and ME123504 tables (detail) which shows the information.  There is a field in the ME123504 which indicates the upload file (MEUPLDID).  I think I had to remove the files from the detail and then I was able to re-load.  Anyone want to confirm this?

    Hello, Susan:

Thank you for your reply.  I did indeed go to Financial>>Routines>>SafePay>>Trx History, and it seems there was no file created.  The last file showing is the one from the previous week.  That's why I'm asking for some help, as I am not familiar with the step-by-step process to be able to figure out if there's a way to recover or recreate that information or not.  The user manually printed a report and sent that to the bank as support for the transactions as there is nothing visible for her to be able to create a new file to send to them electronically.
