GDPR Compliance!!!

I need to make one of my dynamics CRM organisation GDPR comply. So as per my requirement I am encrypting and deleting certain records in CRM. But the problem I am facing is with the audit logs. On trying to delete the audit logs(programatically or manually), only the very old ones gets deleted but data does stays in the recent ones. Now this is my biggest hurdle in making my organisation GDPR compliance.

Any suggestion or solution is highly appreciated on how to delete these audit logs.

    Hi,

    Please see following article msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309664.aspx

under key concepts it describes the behavior you are running into - unable to delete the newest log:

"For Microsoft Dynamics 365 servers that use Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise editions, auditing data is recorded over time (quarterly) in partitions. A partition is called an audit log in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 web application. Partitions are not supported, and therefore, not used, on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 server that is running Microsoft SQL Server, Standard edition."

Maybe you can restrict the access to the audited data, through the security roles?

"The ability to retrieve and display the audit history is restricted to users who have certain security privileges: View Audit History, and View Audit Summary. There are also privileges specific to partitions: View Audit Partitions, and Delete Audit Partitions. See the specific message request documentation for information about the required privileges for each message."

    Hope this helps

    Radu
