Sub account segment change-SL 2015

I need to change the length of a sub account segment.  We use segment #1 for our locations.  When Solomon was installed 20 years ago, we only had two locations so the number 1 was entered for the length.  Now we have eight locations and planning to open more.  I need to increase the length number to two.  I assume the change will input a zero before the number such as 01.  What will happen to the past data that used only the single digit 1 for the location?

    Hi TBuck,

    Upon testing, if you change the number of characters in a segment, it could corrupt the data in your database. A subaccount of 01 is not going to be the same as 1 so that data will not be pulled over to the new subaccount combination. You will also have to generate all new subaccount combinations.

    You would first need to use the PSTL tool to change all of your existing subaccounts to match the desired new format and structure (e.g. change 1 to 01, 2 to 02, etc.).  You can then change your FlexKey Definitions, etc. to change the Segment # length to 2 digits.
