We are experiencing with some regularity the message below when users attempt to log out of GP. I have reviewed the process log and there are no processes currently being run when the user attempts to log-out. The problem seems to be worsening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any Visual Studio Tools custom addins?
If an addin uses a table in its code it Must manually close it otherwise you will get the background processes error even though nothing shows.

We are not able to see your screen shot?
Kindly ask all the GP users to log out from GP and run the below query in SQL server then login & log out GP to check whether this issue occurs or not.
DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY
DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00800
DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00801
DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_LOCK
DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_SESSION
