Error 'Another closing or adjustment is running with voucher...'

Hello experts,
Stock Management > Periodic tasks > Closing and Adjustment
We run the periodic stock closing on 4th of every month. We see a 'in progress' sign in the closing and adjustment screen dated 4th sept. When checking the batches, I see the error 'Another closing or adjustment is running with voucher ......' We are still checking if it is a system issue or anything else. 
 
 
Question to you :  The period was already closed.  We want to re-run the closing. What steps would you advise? The stock recalculation after 4th sept also results in an error message.

    Are any of the two option enabled for the job in progress (Resume Calculation / Pause Calculation)

    Please click on the progress details and share the screenshots:
     
    Progress details will give the exact idea of where the inventory closing is stucked at present:
     
    Unless and until this current process is completed, it won't allow for any further recalculation or closing. 
     
    Please tell the inventory costing method that is presently in use.

    further question:
    how much time it took for inventory closure in previous month, it will give fair idea on how much time will it take?

    FIFO is the inventory method in use. 
    The current progress page is totally blank. 
     
     
    I see these for the previous run : Bundle 1 started at 4/8/2025 00:00:38

    That sounds unusual. You mentioned the inventory closing job ran on 4th Sept 2025, but there doesn’t seem to be any progress. Could you please check if the "Inventory closing" batch job is actually running?

    If you can’t find it running, it’s safe to click the "Pause Calculation" button and then "Resume Calculation" again. This action should restart the batch job if it’s currently stuck or not running.

    After resuming, wait for a while and then check the Calculation List page (right below the Resume Calculation button).

    At first, the system should display a list of all the items scheduled for closure during this inventory closing cycle.
    Please let me know how many items are shown in the calculation list.

    Once that’s confirmed, the system will start preparing the Bundles.

    (We can discuss later how to speed up the inventory closing by configuring parallel threads based on the item count in the calculation list.)

    My guess is that the batch job is not running at all right now.

    The error message is not coming because of batch job as we can see Voucher mentioned in the error message.
     
     
    I can see this from the code. If the error was because of batch job stuck, it would mention batch in the error message

    Indeed the batch is not running. (even though it shows the circle in the status). The below is the batch status. When I click on the error info, I see the message 'Another closing or adjustment is running with voucher 100780'  - see the screenshot in the original post. 
     
    Would try your suggestion and keep you posted.

    I was able to resume the batch. It completed picking the first bundel. After that, was able to manually post the stock calculation (which went good too)
