5The company I work for is wanting to enable the "Advanced Distribution" module on our Dynamics GP 2018 18.4.1384 installation.
The sole reason is to activate and use the "Transactions >> Sales >> Transfer Multiple Orders" feature.
We use SOP orders (SOPTYPE = 2) and we have absolutely no intention to use fulfillment orders (SOPTYPE = 6) or change our current process except for how we invoice our SOP orders.
Few questions:
- How do we know if we have that module licensed?
- Will Dynamics GP throw an error and stop if we try to enable a module that our GP license doesn't include?
- By enabling the "Advanced Distribution" module, will anything in GP change that may interrupt day-to-day operations and processes?
- Such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Customer Information (RM)
- Inventory (IV)
- Purchase Orders (POP)
- Sales Orders (SOP)
- In other words, is it safe to enable the module and assume GP will continue to function as it does now?
