Hi,

Is it possible to update/correct Royalty percentage and amount on an open Sales order without updating corresponding Royalty codes?

Thank you

    Hi Silentsquirrel,

You can directly change the percentage or amount on the Maintain charges form.

The maintain charges form on the sales line is blank, so there’s nothing to change. At the same time, I can see Royalty under Sales line Price details.

    Hi,

The royalty is calculated by Royalty agreements(Accounts payable > Broker and royalties > Royalty agreements), you need to change the calculation of Royalty agreements, please refer to this Doc for more information: docs.microsoft.com/.../royalty-contract

Navigate to the Royalty agreements, click validation to remove validation, then change the Royalty amounts on the line, and then click the validation. Return to the SO and refresh the form, the royalty has been changed.

    Hi,

I also noticed that I can reassign royalty item code (MCRRoyaltyItemCode) records from one royalty code (MCRRoyaltyCode) to another in order to target specific items while there are no royalty claim records. Respective percentages are displayed and reflected in royalty amount calculation on the Sales line details form. I tested SO invoicing, royalty claims and everything worked as expected.

However, I have the following two questions:

    1) when at least one claim record has been generated for a royalty item code then royalty contract and royalty code cannot be updated any longer after removing validation flag. All controls are grayed out. This also includes open and processed claims. Is there a way to update  royalty code when there are no more open claims?

    2) Is there a way to change royalties after SO's have been invoiced and open claims have been generated? Or is there an alternative method to handle such scenario?

    Thank you

    Hi Silentsquirrel,

Has your original issue been resolved?

1.Can not edit the royalty agreement when the claim exists. You can create an idea: experience.dynamics.com/.../

2.As you can see, can not change the change royalty. The royalty is calcauted by royalty agreement.
