Print variables with chinese letters from D365 on labels

Hello together,

after a few days of trying I'm now able to print Chinese letters on our labels, but only if the values are hard coded in our ZPL code with the font I updated on the printer. (We use Citizen as well as Zebra printers)

For that I downloaded the simsun font and loaded it on the printer.

The problem I'm facing now is, that almost 50% of the values on our labels are variables from D365 (Item name, Item ID, customer address, ...) and if they have Chinese letters in it, it is not possible to print them on the label. The result is either the variable like $ItemId$ or not encoded letters.

Has anybody experience with this topic or any tips for me?

Hi Lukas Friedl,

Could you please let us know if the variables from D365 (Item name, Item ID, customer address, ...) are values or labels?

Do you want to translate these Chinese letters to other language? Or it's not print at all?

The AX translator only translate the labels, if they are the values stored in AXDB, it's just print the Chinese letters.
