INTEGRATION GENERAL JOURNAL ENTRIES

I created off the sample integration a GJ, but it appears that it creates multiple entries off of one set of entries. In other words I have duplicate entries of the same GJ transaction. Am I missing a step that limits it to just one entry. Because its annoying

    Hi DMGCPA55,

What could be happening is that your file relationships are not working. You need two source queries in order to import a journal entry properly. You can use one file or two, but you need a header source that gives you the journal entry number and the date, and a source for the debits and credits.

You may have used the example in the samples that uses a single source file and matches the date, you may not want that. If you have multiple journal entries, maybe on the same date, you may want to break it up into separate JEs.

Include a document number in your file so that each distinct journal entry will be imported separately. Alternatively, you could create two files ( you could use two tabs of a spreadsheet.). The header would include the Date, and Reference. The system will automatically assign a journal entry.

What are you using for your source files?

Look in your IM program subfolder for sample GL import files. Just follow those structures and you will be fine.
