The original question was:

Does anyone know of the top of their head what duty/privilege is associated with allowing discounts on quotes

However this seems to not be the case. The duties and privileges seem to be fine and this issue is occurring with the Admin user as well.

To update this issues what is happening is every time an item is selected on the line on a sales quote, when that line doesnt have a sales price associated with it then you can enter the discount amounts, However when the line gets filled automatically with a price then the discount fields on the line get locked. The only place where you can enter the discount is in the line details tab > Price and discounts, however a lot of it is greyed out. We dont see this on UAT as everything is available to fill in.

Hi Rui,

The 'Discount percent' field is filled by the related sales trade agreement automatically. You can also edit it manually in sales order line.

Do you want to restrict the user to change the value in it?

Hi Qian,

Thanks for the reply.

The user can edit and fill in those fields in UAT but on Production they do not have this ability. We actually want the user to be able to edit the fields and give that duty/ privilege to a role.

Im trying to see if there are duties/privileges that are missing in production as a pose to UAT.

Hello Rui Gomes da Silva,

You can check if assigning the Maintain discounts privilege is solving this issue or not.

Else; you can go to "Security configuration" form and then filter by 'Discount' to check all available privileges related to it.

Is the user roles are same in PROD as compared to UAT?

I have added in that privilege but the issue seems to still be there.

With regards to the roles they are the same on UAT and prod.

It seems to be some setting because im getting these fields greyed out in production whereas in UAT they are not

Go the the table in which discount field exist and add table in the privilige and find the field in table and give its permission acc. to your requirement

Hi Rui,

Can you check if there is a difference in security settings? It is possible to set table and field permissions on a role or privilege level. Please verify if the difference in behavior is related to that.

There is also a call center feature to enable or disable discount options for the members of the call center. Not sure if you are using that and if it also applies to sales quotations. I have only used this call center option for sales orders in the past.

Hi Andre and community,

Thanks for the feedback. This is the issue. When i add the user to a retail channel this occurs. So i assume that those options to block the discounts are enabled.

Where can i specify this within that module?

Hi Sourav,

Sorry for the late reply, I was doing a bit of testing. The issue is related to the users being associated with a call center. I believe there is an option to block discounts in this call center.
