how to disable inventory reserve in retail

Dear all,

We are selling products through MPOS through out the day, so on day close we post statement, post inventory jobs etc. what happened system created the posted sales order and invoice. when i looked the inventory status as attached image, system reserved the physical inventory, I don't think that inventory should be reserved because it was a walking sale on MPOS.

when open the sales order created during statement posting, there was not pick and ship journal created, may be this is a reason.

so how to instruct the system not book the physical inventory because it is a over the counter sale.

Hi Afzal,

Is the statement posted?

One feature to minimise these type of issues is "Trickle Feed" - you can configure transaction statement to be posted every 5 mins which will ensure that your inventory is up to date.

Yes, after statement posted, inventory become reserved, that represent in on hand inventory.

so without "Trickle Feed" posting way, we can't bypass this inventory physical reserved option.

any thing about it.

Hello Afazal,

If this Statement is posted then there are orphaned inventory transactions.

You may delete them by function Clear inventory transactions:

You may also disable to generate inventory reservations when Calculating Statements by disabling Commerce parameter Reserve inventory during calculation:

IF you use Trickle feed then by default it will not be possible to run Post inventory job and Reserve inventory during calculation and generate temporary inventory transactions for retail sales.
