Hi,

My company just changed from old Access Database to CRM Dynamics, and I'm totally new with this. Because of transferring data, there is a lot of bugs between accounts and contacts. I want to sort contacts, based on Company name (Accounts), with a certain Country Code and Address: Country/Region. ( like Pic). Somebody please help me out with this. Thanks in advance.

ScreenHunter-527.pngYou can use an advanced find.

Add columns from the Account to the search result for contact

    Hi Thy.B,

unfortunately you cannot sort by attributes of related records so, if you need to sort by Country Code and/or Country/Region, you need to inherit them from account to contact record (by workflow or plugin).

    Proceed as follows:

    1) Create the same attributes on contact entity

    2) Prepare a workflow (with "on demand" option) which copy these values from account to contact on create and update events

    3) Add the new attributes to your view and sort by them

    4) Run the workflow over all contacts

    5) You are ready to go :)

    Hope it helps!

    Hi.

Let me just add one correction.

You actually can sort by related attributes, but only in the view itself, and not in the designer. You can add the columns that you need to the view, and within the view (after it is loaded), just click on the column name and it will be sorted.

When you design the view in the Edit Columns window, you are unable to set the sorting as Francesco specified, but once you are seeing the view, you should be able to do it (See example screenshot):
