    Hi,

You can also use gp's tools (with fewer steps :)):

    1. open that window and then select Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Integrate > Table Import. A window will open that lists all of the tables on the form.

    2. select Tools > Resource Descriptions > Windows, select the window you are interested in and look down to the right hand side of the window. A list of all of the tables attached to the from will be displayed.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

If you have SmartList Builder you can go to Tools-Table Finder from any GP window and it will show all the tables used.

    Hi Sudarshan,

You can try Soma suggestion first,

To find out tables & fields:

    1) Record a macro to find the form name

    2) Install the Dexterity

    3) Take the corresponding dictionary copy and paste in your custom folder

    4) Open dexterity and point the custom folder dictionary

    5) From macro, find the respective form name in the dictionary

    6) Once the form is isolated you can open the form and list the Tables attached to it.

If you have installed Dexterity, then you can open  appropriate dictionary file and find the table attached to particular forms.

    Hope this helps!!!

The easiest way is to install the Support Debugging Tool (available from your Dynamics GP Partner) if you don't already have it.  SDT has a resource information (tables, fields, forms) locator that works very nicely.  Another option is to download and install Rockton Toolbox and install it in the Fabrikam company.  Using the Toolbox in Fabrikam is free of charge.  Rockton Toolbox has a nice resource information locator as well.

    Hello Sudarshan

One of the best ways which I find effective in figuring out the source tables of a specific Dynamics GP window is the "Support Debugging Tool", "Resource Information". It is a free tool which you can download and deploy in your environment quite easily with no associated effects at all.

Once deployed, open the support debugging tool from (Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Support Debugging Tool), Then on the "Options" tab, click for "Security Profiler". Now any form opened will be tracked for several details on the "Security Profiler" window, such as security and associated tables. See screen shot (1,2) below

Now, on the security profiler, double click on the form name illustrated as shown above, this will open up the "Resource Information" window. Click on the "Associated Table" and it will give you the list of tables from which this form retrieves data. See screen shots below (3 and 4)

Look for the specific version of support debugging tool for your dynamics GP.
