I'm looking at doing a wholesale side by side upgrade for a client to CRM and Sharepoint 2016.
They are understandably looking for this to be load balanced both for performance and resilience.
On working through this, it appears that it's not possible, as it stands to load balance Sharepoint 2016 if it's integrated with CRM.
In the technet documentation (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn949332.aspx) there is a line
for the Server side implementation:
SharePoint must be configured for a single farm deployment only.
And for Sharepoint 2016
the CRM list component no longer is available.
So the question is this. Am I being dense or has the ability to load balance Sharepoint with CRM....been removed?
Hopefully it's my misunderstanding as otherwise it is not going to be a good conversation explaining this to the client.
