Error while creating position actions - circular reference error in hierarchy

Hi all,

When am creating a new record in All position actions form to create a new position, am getting error when completing it after entering all required details such as Job, department, reports to position etc.

Error is: The position you selected, or one of the positions above it in the hierarchy, reports to itself or to one of its extended reports. Check the positions for a circular reference in the management hierarchy.

Have checked all the reporting hierarchy (for the selected reports to position field value) and I don't see any circular reference that is going on. Wanted to hear if any of you came across this error.
