Hi All,

I completely removed one model and did the synchronize and everything is fine. All the deleted model objects are disappeared from Application Explorer.

But later while I do find all references for PurchReqTable form I found the deleted model objects in the result. If I click on those object it's not navigating. I am afraid those deleted model changes still available.

Your support is much appreciated.

Regards,

Mohamed Riswan.

If you completely delete a model, its files don't exist and aren't available anymore.

The feature showing references doesn't look at objects available in your applications. It reads information written in DYNAMICSXREFDB database.

    Hi Riswan,

In addition to the above suggestions. Are you trying the steps mentioned below to delete the model?

    HI Riswan,

Did you followed the same steps below mentioned,

    1. Close all instances of Visual Studio.

    2. Stop the following services: AOS web service and Batch Management service.

    3. Delete the package folder C:\AOSService\PackagesLocalDirectory\MyModel1. On cloud-hosted environments this folder may be located on another drive letter such as K:.

4.Restart the services that you stopped in step 1.

    5.Refresh models from Visual Studio

6.In Visual Studio, perform a full database synchronization (Visual Studio > Dynamics 365 > Synchronize database).

Restarting of AOS web service and Batch Management service is important.

Let me know if you are still facing this problem.

    Thanks,

    Shwetha

    Hi Martin,

Yes those deleted objects are available in the DYNAMICSXREFDB. Do I need to delete them explicitly from that DB too to avoid any confusions ?

If I keep them as such will it make any issues while moving my packages to the sandbox or production ?

    Regards,

    Mohamed Riswan

It's used only for developers to see references in Visual Studio; it has no impact on deployment to other environments.

But you still may want to clean up the database to avoid confusing when using references in Visual Studio in this particular development environment.

    Thanks Martin.

Thanks Judy and Shwetha, I already did the mentioned recommendations to remove the model.
