I am trying to install MR for AX 2012 R3, looking at the log file, everything seems fine until it started to execute. (SQL Server 2012)

Hello

Did you entered a encryption master key with a lot of special chars?

Maybe try a simplier one.

Hi AJ,

Ensure you have rights to create databases on the SQL server and have permissions to install software. Also you can try to open the MR setup with elevated Administrator privileges. (Run as administrator). This helped me in the past.

MR was installed earlier by someone else and they did not share any details. I am trying to install fresh and it DID NOT ask for any key.

Hello AJ

It's not clear, which scenario you are meeting. In case you are able to run MR Designer in your existing installation, you are able to export the reports and the other objects, then uninstall the serverside MR installation, do a completly new installation and reimport the saved reports.

But you don't tell anything about your scenario and about your intention.

It's difficult for us to help.

The scenario is quite simple. There are no saved reports. I am trying to do a fresh installation of server components. Please tell me which other details you need?

Have you also checked the SQL server log and Windows event logs on the database server for some additional information?

Never Mind guys. Thank you for the inputs. I have managed to do a fresh installation and it worked. I just made sure all the permissions are given to the respective user accounts which i used for installation and DM creation.
