Hi,
I need a report for the inventory balance as of any past period(31st Dec 2009) with all the items lot number and expiry dates.

if it's something you need on an ongoing basis, you could put a trigger on the inventory history table and update your own more detailed table whenever that table is updated....
Thanks for you inputs Toni. I have felt the same about this report.
This information is not stored in detail in SL, so a custom report would have to be written, and would be VERY difficult and take a long time to run (it would have to rebuild the innventory from the start, I think, for each item.)
