Management Reporter 2012 error

Posted on by 725

Hi All,

When a report is generated in Management Reporter the user is getting the following error message:

Absolute path information is required.

Has anyone seen or experienced this before? I have researched this but I cannot find any information on it.

The user is running version 2.1.7044.43 of Management Reporter 2012.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Nia.

    hi NIa

it sounds like an issue with the path to the output file.  Is MR trying to save the report to a location you don't have access to?

this is a lot of programming stuff, but its where I get the path idea from

    lifted from:

    social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../absolute-path-information-is-required-bug

    hi,

i have the same problem, with this event-log message:

"One or more Visual Studio templates is invalid and will not be displayed."

But now, i discovered the problem:

    I changed my ProgramFilesDir (HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion) to d:

If you change your ProgramFilesDir back to c:\Program Files it should work (it worked an my machine ;)

But indeed, imo it's a bug...
