New button is missing on Contact lookup

Hi All,

I have a contact lookup field on my case form. When I click the contact lookup, +New button is missing for the field. I have checked with the create privilege for contact and also quick create abilities for the entity. I do have another lookup field for contact on case form, for this button, new button is available. I am not sure if I am missing something.

Below is the field for which new button is missing.

    Hi Ashish,

    The +New button on contact lookup is available now on Case main form. However, this is still not available on Quick Create form due to some other control issues.  If there is a need of +New button on this lookup in Quick Create form, you may create a custom lookup field and add it to Quick create form.

    The latest build has been applied to ours and our client environments.

    Database version

    9.1.0.17151
    However, this is still an issue. Is there any specific fix/setting that is required to be enabled for this?

    Upon checking on this feature request, I found this would be available in the build 9.1.0.12515.

    Hi Amrita,

    I have had similar issue in the past from one of our customers. As confirmed by Microsoft Product team, this is by design on a case entity and user can select only existing contacts. They also have a feature request in place for this behavior and it will be available in one of the future releases.
