In Net Requirement, Requirement Quantity of On-hand have negative quantity. as blow:

the inventory transactions as blow:

In my mind, it's should be aways positive, any body konw why requirement quantity of on-hand is nagative and how to fix it? the nagative quantity resulted in the wrong planning order.

Do you have negative inventory of that item in Site 1?

Hi Terry,

I am sure all my item's ItemModelGroup set not allow Physical negative inventory.

Does it correct if you run Master planning for the Master plan? The only scenario I have heard of this happening is when there is a Static and a Dynamic plan in use, but it does not look like that is the case here.

What is your on-hand quantity for item D000816A-01sh? Do you really have negative quantity of it in site 1 or it's just a matter of how info is presented in Net requirements screen?

Hi Terry,

When I run Master planning, everything looks fine. after running, there is a incorrect planning order created.

I have only one master plan.

D00816A-01sh have zreo on-hand quantity. I am sure it's not only display in Net requirements screen, but master plan create a planning order

Just wonder if you re-run that Master plan, will you get the same result, planned batch order for 7?

Also does Master plan include on-hand inventory and transactions?

Can you try to run consistency check of onhand to fix? maybe some data incorrect in table inventsum

Hi Alan,

Did you already find out the reason why it was showing the negative on-hand on the net requirement form?

I am facing the same situation for random items even though negative inventory is not allowed for an item.

The strange thing is that running the master planning (regenerating the net requirement) for an item fixes it.

I had also briefly got this investigated by the developer and understood that somewhere inventory was issued more than it was available but I cannot think of any such situation.

Hi All,

have you found the root cause of this weird behaviour by any chance?

At one of our clients we are experiencing the same issues where sometimes the on-hand is shown negative in the net requirements and we definitely have not enabled allowed negative physical inventory.
