What is the setup to have the component line items of kits print in the sales orders that have kits as items sold?

thank you very much Frank, i actually tried it and saw that you were right..

but while i was reading on another forum, i saw something that you said, and i quote:

"Take a look at the 'Kit' Item Type in GP, Waleed.  With this, you could define the components of the sale as components of the Kit, and assign default distribution accounts to each component.  You can choose to have the Kit components display, or not display, on the order/invoice and have the component pricing roll up to the Kit Item level, concealing the individual component pricing from the customer."

but could never find the option of rolling up the component price to the kit item level in GP..

So could you please help me out in here?

As i'd like to thank you once again for sharing your precious knowledge in the system

You don't select those items.  The system sets a check mark next to each depending on whether the Item is a Kit, Finished Good, or a component of either of those.  The settings are based on the Kit or Bill of Material configuration and where the item exists in that configuration.

When printing the sales doc, in the print options screen (the Print icon in the upper right corner of SOP Transaction Entry) after checking the Order document type, the option to print Kit Components is available on the right side of the window.  If I'm not mistaken, the checked options will become the default on all future print operations.  If not, you could use the Quick Print Setup (under the Additional menu in SOP Transaction Entry and Fulfillment windows) to make printing the component items on the Order the default for Quick Print.  This could also be set up for the Picking Ticket and Packing Slip doc types.
