Hi,

When I use 'ß' in Send Email and save it, It is adding extra characters to the immediate field in the email.

Attached screenshot: Highlighted the extra characters added after saving the email.

Thanks,

Sai

    Hi,

    Why do not you use instead of 'ß' double 'ss'.

    Is it still happening ? I tried to repro it in my test org and it works fine for me on latest build - 9.1.0.4435 and all browsers. Are there any specific set of steps to repro the issue ?

    Hi

    This character seems to break the HTML tags and that's why the email template displays an orphaned span tag as shown in the original screenshot.

    What if you try and use the HTML code : ß

    Same problem here. For example:

        Grüße an {name(customer(Account))}

    will destroy the whole text with HTML fragments after saving the form. It only happens when I combine text (containing character "ß") with a workflow reference e.g.  {name(customer(Account))}

    Using "ss" instead of "ß" is a spelling error for some words (e.g. for "Straße" (street) or "Grüße" (greetings).

    Using HTML didn't work (I tried "Grüße an", the result was Grüße an)

    I found the following workaround:

    First create (or update) the record with only the text in the string field. So in my example, the field "Subject" only contains:

        Grüße an

    Then update the record once again as follows (in my example the the field's name is 'Subject', the entity is Task):

    Put into the Subject field:

        {Subject(Task))} {name(customer(Account))}

    This will result e.g. in the following string:

        Grüße an Beispielfirma GmbH

    Indeed, they are substantial characters the same length as the mail exchanger liable for the email address upholds the UTF8SMTP expansion, talked about in RFC 5336. Be careful that simply a little part of the mail exchangers out there supports internationalized email addresses.

    Both our email approval part for Microsoft .NET and our REST email approval administration, for instance, permit UTF8 characters in the neighborhood some portion of an email address yet will check it as invalid in the event that its connected mail exchanger doesn't uphold the previously mentioned augmentation.

    In case ,"Grüße" its not the field value .. its just a text of ,how we can proceed..
