Extended support Dynamics AX 2012 R2

I have a question regarding extended support. For Dynamics AX 2012 R2 the mainstream support will end in october 2018.

If there are new regulatory requirements for a country after october 2018, will Microsoft develop hotfixes for 2012 R2 until the end of extended support (2021) or do the only provide regulatory hotfixes for versions with mainstream support?

    You can find definition of extended support here support.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-business-developer-and-desktop-operating-systems-policy and I'm reading it in a way that it does not include regulatory  features.

    Thanks for your answer. However it would be good to get an definite answer. I also read it that way but sometimes it´s tricky with Microsoft to receive a straight answer.

    MS will release regulatory features only for R3 and you will have to back port them on your own if you need them or upgrade to latest version that is preferable.
