Our company does a lot of custom manufacturing and when we do quotations for new items, we do not give it an item number unless we get an order for it. We are looking for a way to attach the Sales Quotation generated in GP to the NOTE on an Inventory Item card. We would do this at the time we set up a new item if we get an order. So this would be a document (sales Quote) saved in GP not outside of GP.
Does anyone have any suggestions, we appreciate any help.

Thanks to both of you. This is the method we have been using........we where looking to save a step and not have to go to maintain a separate file.

Lyn is likely right. In your example you wished to attach the Sales Quotation to the Item Card in GP only if the Item was created (when you received an order). Printing the Sales Quotation to file, would allow you to embed the printed file into the Item Card using OLE notes. When choosing a file to attach to the Item Card you Choose Edit > Insert New Object, then Choose the Create from file radio button. You need to forego checking the Link check box, in order to embed the file, otherwise, you are merely creating a link to the file on your machine or network. I also strongly suggest checking the Display as Icon check box.
The only thing I can think of would be to print the Quote to a PDF, save it temporarily, then attach it to your item. Once attached, you should be able to delete the PDF from the original save location.
