we are planning to migrate to cloud. We have a huge integration on 2012. In terms of server performance did anyone faced issue with D365 cloud ?

You can definetely have performance problems in the cloud, too.
When you start a project, you will have to provide details about your transaction volumes to Microsoft. They will use this information in sizing of the production system. So, it's important that you provide good information to them. But you can have good or bad performance in the same system, depending how you set things up. In addition, if the sizing is correct and you encounter performance issues on standard processes, you can log an incident for Microsoft Support. Some issues we reported in the past had been addressed and solved.
Performance in Dynamics 365 is abhorrent, for ALL my customers. The dynamics team is great at producing features, but at the expense of performance for sure. If they are not going to address it, the least they can do is find someone to really enhance the "LOADING" icon.

Can you share details about the bad performance at your customers? Is it about standard processes or are there customizations involved? Are you talking about on-premise environments or Microsoft managed environments? It would be great if you can share some more details. Then we can try to help you.
