Dynamics Outlook App - Cannot Find Users or Teams

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the outlook dynamics app.  When I try to track it against a new opportunity, lead, case, etc. that I'm creating from the add-on app, it is not finding any users or teams.  It is finding everything else in our system (contacts, accounts) or if I try to just track it to an existing record (accounts, contacts, leads, opps) it finds those.  When I type in a user or team name it just endlessly searches with no results.

I have cleared internet/outlook caches.  I have re-added the app.  I have edited and republished quick views associated with the app and users/teams.  None of these have helped.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    We upgraded to V9 last night and then we were unable to access the app itself.

    We created custom security roles for most people in the organization and did not realize we had to add them to the App itself, as it was not something that was visible.

    This link guided me to start looking for the app to add the appropriate roles:

    I added the roles and everything seems to be working besides I can no longer search for and add owner teams to a newly created record from the app.  Assuming it is an issue from the upgrade.  However, the app is finding users now.

    Hi Sandeep,

    I originally thought this also.  I am a full admin in CRM and am a member of all teams and am experiencing the issue.  I also looked from the Outlook side and there seems to be no issues there.

    We recreated Outlook profiles to see if that would resolve the issue, but it has not.

    Some users experience the issue but others with the same permissions are not.  We have a ticket open with MS to look into right now.

    Sorry, no.  We have migrated our development/staging instances and production is still scheduled out.  We have not yet upgraded our production to version 9.

    So it is stopped after migrating to V9?

    Hi Ravi,

    Relevance search is checked under system settings.  Both User and Team are in Categorized Search.  Both are also selected for enable for mobile.

    I should mention that this has been working for over a year and has stopped working in the past 3 days.  We have not made any system changes to our instance as we are in a development freeze as we migrate all our instances over to version 9.

    Hi,

    Could you please ensure that -

    1) You have enabled relevance search under system settings

    2) Added User/ team entity for Categorized Search

    3) User/ Team entity have "enable for mobile" ticked under entity definition

    4) Publish all customization

    You also need to wait for some time for changes to be applied. For some, it take 10-15 minutes and for some it appeared the next day :(
