Intercompany Simplification

We would like to make intercompany simpler, in particular we are interested in any product that will allow a transfer of money between seperate Dynamics GP databases.  For example, if we were to use the Bank Transfer Entry screen, are there any products available to allow the user to select a Transfer To database that is in a different GP database.

Any suggestions on streamlining intercompany transactions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Travis, Have a look what Victoria is suggesting, apart from it if you wanna go then it has to be customization coz in on of my customer place i had a requirement of request and issue of items between GP companies which i did using VS Tools & Econnnect. If i am not wrong your query is to transfer amount from A gp company to another B gp company right? So that Company A bank balance is reduced and company B bank balance is increased. OK? If my understanding is right then, bank transfer may not work coz you need to give proper financial treatment. When you transfer amount from company A then, its bank balance (check book) should reduced and correspondingly a GL account will get credit and you need to debit as receivable or expenses. So Also in the company B the bank balance will increase which debits the bank GL account and credit should be where (either its a liability or income). So, please check it. There is one more way you can stream line. Pass an intercompany GL transaction and pass increase and decrease bank adjustment entry in company A and Company B. Regards Akbar Khan

    GP's Intercompany module will let you enter GL and AP intercompany transactions.  For Bank transactions, inventory and SOP, take a look at MC2's Advanced Intercompany: http://www.mc2software.com/AITComparison.aspx.

    Several!

     GP has an intercompany module.  Have you tried that?  One posting in one company and all the necessary transactions are completed in both (or several) companies.

     There are also products from Nolan and others.
