Appointment, Contacts & Tasks Not Synchronizing for Mailbox

Hi All,

When I'm trying to 'Test & Enable' Mailbox for a user (admin), when I'm setting Appointment, Contacts & Tasks to Server-Side Synchronization, my test is failing with the following message :-

Appointments, contacts, and tasks can't be synchronized for the mailbox User because the specified regarding type of the mailbox isn't supported by Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Email Server Error Code: ExchangeSyncUnsupportedMailboxRegardingType 
Does anyone know why this is happening?

    I searched some known issues documents provided by Microsoft, but I didn't seem to find exactly the same situation as yours. So can you click to see more and give us the error details?

    Thank you for your response. When I run my 'Test & Enable Mailbox', it just shows Failed, and the only error message I get is the one I posted above. Even I tried to find some more information about this error message, but unfortunately it doesnt show up in any search.

    Hi partner,

    I tried to configure it and it worked, please check if there is any difference with me.

    Please check the following conditions:
    1.Make sure that "Process email usage" is set to "Server-Side Synchronization".

    2.You need to click 'approval email' before 'test and enable'.

    Thank you, Leco Lv for trying it out. I did whatever you did here. I changed everything to Server-Side Synchronization and the email is also approved. When I test, my Incoming Email is a Success. But I'm still getting the same error message for Appointments, Contacts & Task. Since the error message talks something about the 'Regarding Type', I checked your 'Regarding' field and you have 'System Administrator' selected there. But somehow for me, my 'Regarding' field is disabled, I'm not able to select anything.

    Also, somehow it doesnt let me change my Outgoing to Server-Side Synchronization. I get the message :-

    Invalid Outgoing Delivery Method

    The outgoing delivery method for a forward mailbox can only be set to None.

    Hi Leco Lv ,

    I was able to fix the issue. Actually the reason why I got the error message was because by mistake I was doing everything in the 'Forward Mailbox', which doesnt support Outgoing and Appointments, Tasks & Contacts. I tried the same with the normal Mailbox and it worked fine, my tests were all a Success. Thank you for your help, the steps you had previously mentioned was also quite useful, so I'll mark it as Verified.
