Hi
I'm pulling the table ACCOUNTSUMMARY into Excel in order to do some reporting on the P&L. At the moment i'm manually specifying the last closed period to pull in so that I only get completed months in the data. Is there a table I can link to which shows the periods that are open/closed in the General Ledger? That way I don't need to manually adjust the report each period, it will always bring in the latest periods.
Thanks
In the Company tables look at SY4010. You'll want to narrow it down by YEAR1 & SERIES (2 = GL (Financial)). In the CLOSED column 0 = Open & 1 = Closed.
There are multiple rows for each Series but I believe that they are either all Open or all Closed, although I haven't tested anything.
This means that you should be able to use any of the rows in Series 2, for any given period to return your desired results.
Brilliant, thank you Frank
