Sometimes the fastest way to find relevant code in large projects with a lot of files is to perform a text search on all the source files. Most documentation says that Dynamics 365 keeps the code in bin/xppSource directory. There are only a few files in that folder. Is there a way to force Dynamics to generate all the xpp source files?
I am familiar with the AOT search in Visual Studio but that is not what I'm looking for.
Thanks,
Anthony
Can you give us an example of documentation claiming that source code is stored in bin/xppSource? It would be a huge bug in documentation, because it's absolutely not true.
Source code is stored in XML files in the packages folder. For example, source code of Application Platform classes is in XML files in \ApplicationPlatform\ApplicationPlatform\AxClass\ folder (e.g. K:\AOSService\PackagesLocalDirectory\ApplicationPlatform\ApplicationPlatform\AxClass\).
Hi Anthony,
You can use the metadata search in VS to find any coding based on search criteria: docs.microsoft.com/.../metadata-search-visual-studio
