Hello!
We recently upgraded from GP 18.3 to the latest 18.4 version in our test environment. We are receiving an error message when loading GP after doing the update and running utilities. Has anyone else come across this issue and know of a fix?
Steps taking so far is to clear the dynamics Messages table and then log back into GP to repopulate the table, but the message number did not populate.
Usually the message number won't exist in the Messages table in GP, because it is a third-party message.
The one case I've seen this exact error message/message number, was referring to eOne's Extender, do you have that product installed?
As Derek mentioned, this will be from a third party product as the ID is greater than 22000.
If you have a custom forms dictionary for the third party product this error could be caused by having an old version of the custom forms dictionary with the newer application dictionary.
You need to upgrade the custom dictionary or export your forms and delete the dictionary then reimport the forms. Note if you made changes to strings, formats or messages, they will need to be made again if using this recreation method.

David
Thank you for the responses. It is resolved now. You were correct on it being from a third party application.
What third party application was it that gave you the error? I have the exact same error/message #.
It was from eOnes SmartList Builder
Ran into this exact error too. For whatever reason, I had to run the setup twice for SmartList Builder to copy the new .cnk file. Then once loading GP and including the .cnk files, everything loaded just fine and the error went away.

Here is a technique for identifying the product that causes a dialog like this to appear.
If you know when it comes up, you can use GP Power Tools to capture logs. When the dialog is open, wait a couple of minutes leaving the dialog open. Make a note of the time.
Then click OK and stop logging. When we review the script log we can see the last script run before the gap in the timestamps.
Then use Resource Information in Procedure and Function mode to identify which product(s) contain that script name. If more than one product show up, you could probably narrow it down by looking at scripts called by that script (indented).
This could be caused by a corrupted dictionary that has not been updated, or if there is a custom forms dictionary for that product that has not been updated. Rename the extension on the custom forms dictionary to test.
I am getting this error on some but not all workstations. This is from an update from v18.3 to 18.4 for the year end update.
I don't have 3rd party forms and reports dictionaries. I have both Extender and SmartList Builder and have installed both again, I have removed them and re-installed, and the error message #24574 missing is still coming up.
I have also tried removing Mekorma MICR and re-installing.
Working my way through other 3rd parties, but nothing seems to make any difference.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Do you have a custom forms dictionary for the Smartlist Builder product dictionary?
If so, rename or remove it.
I figured it out. Not all the companies had the Extender tables upgraded. Once all the companies were upgraded the error message went away.
