SharePoint 2016 & List Component?

Dear community

We currently have SharePoint 2016 and would like to use it with Dynamics 365 (onPrem). We used to work with SharePoint 2010 and integrated Dynamics 365 with the List Component. However, I realized there is no version of the list component for SharePoint 2016 anymore - the latest one is for 2013. So I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this setup?

Would we need to set up server-based authentication to get an automatic proposal-folder-creation in SharePoint? If so, does it work with ADFS?

Thanks and cheers
