Job titles are simply names for jobs. Positions created for a Job get the same title as the job. The unique identifier for a Job is the Job ID. The unique identifier for the position is the Position ID. You can have 5 positions titled "Manager" that are associated with the Job titled "Manager".
Before you create jobs, you must first specify your list of titles that are available in your organization. You can do this in the Titles form (HR > Setup > Workers > Titles). Some examples of titles might be "HR assistant", "IT Director", "Manager", "Payroll administrator", etc. The Titles form simply allows you to maintain a list of titles that you can select from when you create a job or a position.
When you create a job in AX, you can specify the title for the Job by selecting from the list of titles that you created in the Titles form.
When you create a position in AX, and you select the Job associated with the position, the position automatically gets the same title that the job has. When you view the position hierarchy, any open positions will display the position title instead of a worker name in the hierarchy.
I hope this information helps. If it does not, please provide a better example of the issue that you are encountering with Jobs and titles and I'll try to help.
Thanks,

Hi Shyla ,
I would like to know the difference between JOB Vs Title in AX 2012 ?
The link which was shared by you it does not talk about the title functionality . Could you explain with an exmaple ?
The following topic provides a thorough description of Jobs and positions:
technet.microsoft.com/.../hh242239.aspx
Before you create jobs, you must set up titles for those jobs. Positions inherit job titles from the jobs that the positions are associated with.
I hope this helps! If you find the documentation in the topic linked above not helpful, please let me know why you think the topic is not helpful and I'll work to update it.
