Vendor Invoice Foreign Currency Gain/Loss Entry calculated automatically - Ax 2012 R2.

Dear All, 

I am facing an issue with AP PO Invoices, 

Accounting Currency  - QAR

Reporting Currency  - USD

Transaction Currency - GBP

We do have the Pre-encumbrance and Encumbrance process at the time of PR-PO-Invoice. 

Scenario, 

AP Invoice (From PO) 

Expense DR-  100 GBP   (4500 QAR)

Vendor CR      100 GBP  (4400 QAR)  

 Gain /LossCR          100 QAR ( System Generated Entry)  

AP payment. 

As per Conversion rate as on date. 

Vendor DR 100 GBP  ( 4400 QAR)

Gain & Loss DR  200 QAR

Bank  CR  100 GBP (4600 QAR)  

At the time of AP invoicing System is processing Gain/Loss entry automatically, which i need to stop,  the AP payment Entry is correct.

    Hi Nitin,

    Have you tested in a demo ersion whether deactivating the pre-encumbrance process overcomes the issue?

    Is this an option for you?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Many thanks for your response, Yes I tried and came to a conclusion that the system is calculating the currency Conversion difference between date of Encumbrance and date of Actual Conversion at the time of Invoicing,

    More over we cannot disable the Pre-Encumbrance or Encumbrance process,

    Pls advise if i can stop this somehow..
