AxDB pulling data to power bi

hi,

i know if I am on the virtual machine I can pull data from AxDW from a view into power bi.

my question is, can i also pull data from AxDB into the power bi?

i tried but i cannot see the table when i i connect to AxDB from the power bi, but when i connect to the SSMS I can see the table.

and the table is public.

the table is: WHSShipmentTable

    Hi Astrid,

    Could you please let us know why you are trying to connect to AxDB? You won't be able to connect to it from the Prod environment.

    we need to add data from the table WHSShipmentTable, and we are having issues getting the data.

    do we need to create a view to take the data?

    Hi Astrid,

    There is a data entity available - WHSInboundShipmentHeaderEntity. This works for Load direction "Inbound" only. You can create a custom entity  for this as well.

    I tried searching for the entity WHSInboundShipmentHeaderEntity on the browser but I couldn't find it, I am going to search the AOT now.

    What do you mean by Load direction "Inbound" only? (i am still learning my way around here)

    Hi Astrid,

    There is a field in WHSShipmentTable table named LoadDirection. This particular entity filters the value by inbound only.

    Thanks, I found the entity, I think I will need to create my own because I need more fields, thanks for your help!!
