Based on the responses from SL partners with whom I've communicated, there are three who plan on attending and one who is thinking about attending. Others are saying the content of Convergence is too much GP and AX and not enough SL to justify the expense of attending. Each year there are fewer and fewer SL attendees and this trend seems to be exacerbated this year.
A message from the president of the Solomon Users Group:
We have taken down the ability to ‘join’ the group temporarily. WE have opened all webinars to anyone interested in participating. We will hold User Group sessions on Saturday April 24th at Convergence from 1:30 – 5:30 which will be open to members and non members. It will be an opportunity to learn about exciting changes for our group, to learn about the Fall 2010 Conference dates, venue and registration process. We will showcase events that the SL Community won’t want to miss during Convergence . We will hold two training sessions and we will have opportunities to network. Our website will be reflected shortly to make users aware of the User Group sessions on Saturday, April 24th. We will open up registration and membership again at that time.
Looks cool, but there doesn't seem to be any way of joining at present.
Below is the link to the user group. They have not yet posted where and when the next confernce will occur. The last I heard it was going to be in either San Diego, like last year, or in Kansas City.

did not hear about that last year? When and where is it?
Correction: The people are not less expensive. The conference is less expensive. The people who attend the conference are great!!
I think the SL user conference is much more beneficial. It is not partner oriented but it is all Solomon and all the people who attend are SL oriented and less expensive. Most of the people who attend it did not go to the Convergence. Plumbline and Microsoft attend and put on sessions. Last year was a lot of fun.
BTW, the Navision people do the same thing. They have their own meeting and, according to Harvey Grant, it is well attended.
I'm not going... doesn't sound very partner-oriented. I think they are trying to sell the products to the end users more and more.....
