Engineering change orders workflow status submitted (blocked)

Hello
we started an Engineering change orders workflow in D365.
The workflow was not properly defined and ended but left the status of the "
Engineering change orders" in the status "submitted".
The Change status actions are greyed out and we cant change anything/ cant delete
Any ideas what to do?

    I don't understand your question.
    So you have submitted the engineering change order (ECO) to workflow, but are not longer able to change the status? 
     
    What is the status of the workflow, have you completed it?

    Hello,
    the ECO workflow is done ( successfully executed) , but the status remains "submitted" and i can't update / change the status. As it is submitted i also can't delete the changeorder
    so blocked

    If an Engineering Change Order (ECO) is stuck in a "submitted" status and actions are greyed out, it usually means the workflow is in a locked state due to an incomplete or incorrectly defined workflow step.
     

    Check Workflow History and Restart:

    • Navigate to the Workflow history for the ECO. This provides insight into the workflow’s progress and can help identify where it halted.
    • If any pending approvals or tasks are blocking the workflow, you may need to complete or cancel those steps to allow further actions.
    • Workflow History Cleanup:

      • Go to System administration > Inquiries > Batch jobs, look for any workflow batch jobs related to the Engineering Change Order, and see if they have errors or are stuck.
      • If there are errors, you may need to delete or cancel the workflow instance from the history to reset it.
    Terminate the Workflow:
    • You may be able to terminate the workflow directly through the Workflow history page if the system allows it.
    • If the workflow history page doesn’t allow you to terminate it, try using the System Administration > Workflow history cleanup to clear it out if the ECO is no longer needed. Be cautious, as this could affect other workflows if not done precisely.
    • Use a Data Management (DMF) Job:

      • Use the Data management framework (DMF) to export the ECO record.
      • Modify the status in the export file to a state where it can be changed (such as Draft or Open).
      • Re-import the record to reflect the new status.

    @CU23101108-0 You should be able to set it back from "Submitted" if you submit and approve a change request.
    I haven't tested it since I don't have any workflow configured in my environment, so I'm going off memory.
    If it's still not changing, you need to have a developer change the status by using a job.

    as already mentioned, the workflow completed without errors/is in the status of "completed".
