How can I map the Booking status field to the Work order System Status

Hello,

How can I map the Booking status field to the Work order System Status.Where Can I see the behavior in Customization area?

For example :

Field technician  is traveling to the work order location by changing the booking status to Traveling.Changing the booking status to Traveling automatically changes the work order system status to Open - In Progress.

Referring the lInk : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/work-order-status-booking-status

I already have gone through below Note given in the URL above.

Work order system statuses should never be edited because system jobs and plug-ins rely on these statuses. Instead, administrators should create custom work order substatuses that relate to work order system statuses.

One of my client wants to know this behavior and have to customize it.

What is the process for doing such customization. Any Help will be highly appreciated.

So what does the client want it to happen when it is set as Traveling?

Microsoft Field Service plugins set the system status so there is no way around this.

    Hi Thomas,

It was just an example, What I want to see that where are they mapped in entities?Which Entity should I refer to know/understand about this  behavior.

Also what  If I have to add a new booking status and then mapped to existing Work order system status?

You can create as many Booking Statuses as you want and map them to any of the existing work order system statuses. But you shouldent be creating your own system statuses.

I can really recommend to customize the standard view Active Booking Statuses. So that all relevant Status columns are shown in the list that is displayed when you click on the the Booking Status menu entry.
