Dimension Link doesn't work

Hello! 

It looks like I am stuck and need help. We have activated the Dimension link to the Department Dimension and locked it

but every time when a new sales order has been created and a specific site's chosen, its Financial Dimensions are linked to the Product default dimensions and won't change to the Site related dimensions. All Sites have got Default Financial Dimensions. In the meantime, if the site is adjusted on the existing Sales order, the right Financial dimension value comes through.

I might've missed something but I've already double-checked and triple-checked everything what I can think of. Any suggestions please?

    Hi SergeiS,

    There are priorities in getting default dimensions on orders and lines. In case you have a linked financial dimension on sites, I would recommend blanking the default values for this dimension on products and customer master.

    Hi André, thank for the prompt response. As far as I understood and please correct me if I am wrong, the default product dimension should've been replaced with the site dimension, isn't it? The last time when a product did not have the default dimension, it didn't bring anything at all. The dimension fields stayed empty. Is it a normal situation?

    Also, it might be funny but not for me, we've got the test environment where this setup works as planned and only our production environment plays up. I am sure I am missing something but I am not sure what. Look forward to hearing any suggestions. Thanks

    Hi Andre again, I followed your suggestion and removed the financial dimension from one product and as result the system shows me this error

     

    when I try to add the product to the sales or purchase order. Any bright ideas are welcome

    The problem was resolved by marking the existing Sites as Manufacturing Sites in Warehouse Management - Warehouse - Sites
