Client wants to import additional HR data to an existing Input Set. They have a file with just the new data to be added. Will the existing data be over-written, or will the new data be appended to the existing data? Couldn't find anything in the FC online help to answer this.

I'm hoping it doesn't get over-written, but I suppose we can do a Copy Plan Wizard to copy the old HR data from a different Input Set - they have 2 Input Sets for F/Y 2012, one "original" and one "revised". They are adding this new HR data to the revised input set.

    John,

    Make a backup before you do any imports, just to be safe. Imports a new Input Set name will but only that new data in that Input Set. if any of the employees share IDs that data may be updated in the HR Master that could change their name in other Input Sets. Most customers do one of the following:

    1. Copy Plan from old to new, and make manual changes

    2. Import a new file with all employees

    I usually don't see a copy and import done for the same set.
