Compete information with EPICOR

Hi,

When I meet customers, they seem to be predominantly comparing Dynamics AX with EPICOR.

I need some solid points that can show that Dynamics AX is different and superior wen compared with EPICOR.

Can any one help please?

    1. Inventory Ageing report is not available in EPICOR
    2. No Workflow in EPICOR for any module
    3. Transportation module not available in EPICOR
    4. If you apply landed cost[maintenance charges] in EPICOR purchase order, it will not automatically come to Receipt, again you need to apply maintenance charges in PO receipt or container landed cost entry
    5. Direct Fixed asset purchase order is not available in EPICOR, It will go to inventory and then transfer from inventory to Asset in EPICOR.
    6. Quarantine management is not available  in EPICOR  
    7. Purchase/Sales agreement is there in EPICOR with less feature  
    8. Product variant[Product master] is not available in EPICOR
    9. You can’t configure quantity based production timesheet[route card and job card] in EPICOR
    10. Costing sheet concept is not available in EPCIOR
    11. Route group concept is not available in EPICOR
    12. Project quotation is not available in EPICOR, only sales quotation is available. So you must create sales order to prepare project invoice, you can’t create Invoice from project.  
    13. Project Budget is not available in EPICOR
    14. Ledger Budget is not available in EPICOR
    15. Cash flow  is not available in EPICOR
    16. Financial dimension concept is not available in EPICOR
    17. Account structure is not available in EPICOR
    18. In general ledger, you cannot make transaction based type[supplier, customer, project, fixed asset, bank and ledger ] in EPICOR
    19. You can see ledger transaction for PO receipt, SO delivery, PO invoice, SO invoice, etc. on same screen in AX, but in EPICOR, you can’t see separate transaction, you can see only period wise[Bulk transaction], you need to go WIP reconciliation report or GL ledger report in EPICOR,   
    20. Home page[Role based dash board] is not available in EPICOR
    21. Each and every table, there is only 20 characters, 20 date and 20 checkbox fields, we cannot add more field in UD table and standard table in EPICOR, But we can add as we want in AX
    22. Number sequence concept is not available in EPICOR
    23. You can’t attach company logo in EPICOR legal entity to show by default in all printout
    24. Data import export framework is not available in EPICOR, there is DMT, but you need  additional license amount to use DMT in EPICOR

    Thanks a lot Rajkumar., Lot of good points!

    On certain points, where you are saying, it is not there in AX - will that be a -ve against AX? Hope workarounds can be made available?

    So largely, it is very apparent that Dynamics AX fares much better?
