Dear Team,

When i am posting the Purchase Order Invoice getting an error message as

The entry for category PRJEXP001 on project PRJ0005 cannot be submitted because it would cause the cost budget to be exceeded by 40000.

The budget has not been adjusted correctly. below is the screenshot of error

How to resolve this issue can you please help

Please check if the remaining budget model was marked as "Stopped".

Hi Goutham,

There are two things that you need to check:

1. Your project budget in the project module and

2. Your ledger budget in the budgeting module.

To me it is not clear where the error message shared comes from, so please check both places.

Hi Goutham,

Can you check is project budget control activated on project form?

If yes, did you updated project budget?

If I’m not wrong this error is due to cost control of project budget.

Suggestions:

1. Revise budget and try

2. Take administrative / pm right and either deactivate budget control or allow override with warning.

Hi Goutham,

If you setup the budget in the budgeting module then check your budget control configuration and how this is specified.

If there is sufficient budget then there must have been something overlooked in the rule configuration especially how budgets are calculated and to which accounts they are assigned to.

Check especially the postings and accounts that are used when posting a project related PO.

There are basically two postings that are usually made.

The first one puts things on a stock account and in the same second a second posting takes it out and puts the costs on the project.

You must take care that your budget rule configuration takes care of that.

Me gustaría saber si pudieron resolver este caso ya que se me está presentando la misma situación y si se consulta el presupuesto del proyecto, si hay presupuesto para el artículo en cuestión.
