VAT Submission GovTalk Username and Password issue

Hi, 

I am unable to submit our first VAT return using the Service Connection "GovTalk", the username and password are definitely correct as we can login to HMRC online Government Gateway ok. The credentials also used to work with our Sage 50 packages.

Has anyone experienced this issue and can confirm the Endpoint URL for the gateway is correct. I have spoken with HMRC, however they are unable to support and just tell us to contact the software provider.

    Have you got the authorisation code from the below link after registering ?

    test-www.tax.service.gov.uk/.../sign-in

    Hi thanks for contacting me. It was the incorrect period causing the error. It is frustrating as it had nothing to do with the GovTalk connection as it is the VAT Return submission via the HMRC VAT Service connection.
