    Hi.

    1) Is your question about Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 for Finance / Supply Chain Management?

    2) You wrote that "all working on UAT but I am having following error..". So is it working in UAT or not?

    3) How are you connecting Power BI to Dynamics?

    1) D365FO

    2) It is working on UAT

    3) Power BI give an option of online services > D365

    Hello Atiq Ur Rehaman,

Can you provide some additional information on what you try to do?

Are you trying to analyze D365FO or AX2012 data in PowerBI?

If so, what entities do you want to analyze?

Are you planning to analyze data from a test or live environment?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I am trying to analyze D365FO data in Power BI.

    It is a custom entity.

Actually, we restore Live data on UAT & it is working fine in Power BI but when we promoted it to Live then the error occurs

    Hi Atiq,

you said that "when we promoted it to Live then the error occurs". What do you mean by "it" in this case?

  • arkhan97 Profile Picture

it means the Custom Data Entities when we deployed those to Live environment and tried to get data in Power BI the reported error occurs

Can you access any standard entities in Live system with Power BI?

Yes. I thought that the data returned by my custom entity is big that is why I am having this error. Can it be a case?

Yes, that can explain it. You should not use the OData endpoint for big volumes since it's very slow. For such scenarios it's recommended to use BYODB (export the entity to your own Azure SQL and then point Power BI to read from this Azure SQL database).

Is it there way to increase time out at Production Environment?
