Block/Hide items from MRP

Hi,

We are testing the RMA/Return orders module in AX. Issue being when the RMA is received to a QRT (Quarantine warehouse) MRP is seeing it as supply. Now if you try to create a production order for a different sales order/same part number it wont work because MRP sees these items in Inventory as supply which will cause you to create orders manually.

Is there a way to stop MRP from trying to use the items in the Quarantine warehouse?

Thanks in advance!

Hans

On the setup of the Quarantine warehouse, tick 'Manual' (on the 'Master Planning' fast tab).

    Guy,

This worked as far as removing the on-hand amount from net requirements. Thank you!

Now the issue is; the sales order is for 4 pieces but when you run an "update" against the sales explosion, MRP is only proposing a planned production order for 2 of the 4 piece sales order line. It seems as though the (2) 1 piece quarantine orders are being counted by AX as supply; you can see this in the sales explosion below.

Are you returning these items into the same main store as you would consume production from and using Quarantine as the buffer? I would put them into stock in a returns warehouse to be honest, disconnect it from the supply chain because of the nature of a return, move it from returns to main stock if reusable as main stock, but control it to remove from the plan.
