Mail Merge - CRM add in missing?

Hi,

Just tried creating a quote using the CRM's built in function. I have already created a template and when i imported it the first time i was asked for my username and password (which i promptly entered and checked remember me), then clicked the CRM button and everything worked fine. However the next time i come to create a template... i no longer have to input the user/password saving time but now there is not CRM button... i have looked in the mailing tab and it isn't there... there is also no add in tab and checking the developer tab there is nothing. I have had this problem on both word 2010 and 2003... any suggestions to resolve this please? Thanks

Reece

     Hi voni,

    What version of word 2003/2007/2010?

And just out of interest did you have to input a password for your CRM installation when it opened yesterday?

I solved the issue on 2010 by forgetting my passwords etc. (As i clicked remember me). Still having the same issue with 2003 now actually. I'm having a look at sorting it.

    Hi Reece,

    I am running 2007.

I followed the instructions....enabled all macros....still not there.  I don't remember having to put in a password.

    This is frustrating.

Have a look in the add-ins on word to make sure its enabled.

Options> trust center > add ins

If it's not there i'm unsure what to do as thats the problem i'm having with 2003.

    Close Outlook and try again.

Doesn't work for me but was worth a shot. Might have to upgrade the rest of the PCs to 2007/2010 for a solution.

Ok, so, are you saying that this happens only to your users in Office 2003 but everybody else is working fine?

If this is the case; the yes, look into upgrading everybody.

What version (I.E. Standard, Professional, etc) of Office do you have installed?

Yes, only my users with Office 2003 have this problem, and we're having to assign the quote to a 2007 user for them to create it. I initially thought it was an access problem with the remember me function in IE as when i did this even users in 2007/10 couldn't see the CRM add in.

Will look into upgrading to 2007 as i have a few keys spare.

    Thanks
