Hi

Can anyone enlighten me?

If I firm planned W/O's from Master Planning (Master Plan has Job Scheduling and Finite selected) I generate a number of Works Orders with status scheduled.

If I create each of the Works Orders manually and then select them all and Job Schedule (again finite) I again have a number of works orders with status scheduled however the results are different.

In what sequence does Master Planning job schedule the orders - does anyone know?

I believe it runs planning for each order it firms, so the order would be in the sequence of the ID of the planned order.

However if you run planning for multiple records in manufacturing then AX will do more then one run if you have opened for optimization. Check for this under system settings > setup > scheduling parameters.

What is the result for planning if you select all the created work orders from master plan and replan them?
